Two part class offering an introduction to hand-building ceramic pots. Great for all experience levels.
Each student will receive 1lb of clay and will be taught pinching and coiling techniques to create their own unique vessel. Size of the final piece depends on this clay limit, desired final item, and student pace. Realistically, students can expect to create something equal to the size of a coffee mug or small bowl.
For ages 5 years and older. Classes will be held completely outside. Be sure to bring sunblock, snacks, and water. All art materials will be provided.

Saturday, August 15: Decorate your pot! We will provide underglazes, ideas, and guidance to painting your piece.
Saturday, August 29: Pickup completed pieces. Following the class, we will glaze student work with a clear glaze and do the final kiln firing.
